Guatemala Adventures: Glamping by Lake Atitlan in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala

Where are my Girl Scouts and outdoor lovers at? I love spending time to be immersed in nature. For awhile, I have wanted to experience glamping. When I found Bliss Land Bell Tent by Lake Atitlan in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala on Airbnb, I started making plans to go glamping.


Last year at this time, I never would have imagined I would be experiencing travel to 7 Continents, let alone fasting and praying on Easter in Guatemala!


When I found Bliss Land Bell Tent on Airbnb, I immediately fell in bliss! From the moment I found them on Airbnb, I could feel all the love poured into the entire experience of bliss at Bliss Land.


Step by step, I took action to have a Guatemala Adventure of Glamping by Lake Atitlan a reality!

Visiting Lake Atitlan

For years, visiting Lake Atitlan has been on my list. I never would have imagined I would visit the deepest Central America lake, 12 villages named after the 12 apostles, and three surroundings volcanos for over a month.


The peace, nature and majestic views surround you no matter which part of the lake you visit. No matter where you stay on the lake, it is easy to take a boat (or lancha) for anywhere from $1.5o to about $3 round trip.


I thought what better way to experience a Guatemala Adventure then glamping close by to Lake Atitlan in San Marcos La Laguna. I arrived at San Marcos La Laguna on Good Friday. I originally booked Bliss Land until Sunday. However, I ended up extending my Airbnb stay to Monday before I even arrived at Lake Atitlan.

Glamping by Lake Atitlan in Guatemala

Visiting Lake Atitlan on its own is a dream come true. I am incredibly grateful to experience a Guatemala Adventure of Glamping at Bliss Land Bell Tent by Lake Atitlan in San Marcos La Laguna.


Glamping is incredible with Bliss Land Bell Tent with the immersion experience with outdoor shower, hammock, and seating space. The bell tent itself is beautiful both during the day and night, and the indoor space put together lovingly with some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in!
