Best International Phone Plan for Creators & Nomads?
T-Mobile Wins
Let me take you back: I was with T-Mobile for over 10 years, traveling, creating, and building my brand across multiple countries with zero issues. I had free roaming, a reliable connection, and never once got hit with wild international charges. It was so good, I took it for granted.
Then I switched to AT&T for a deal that seemed cute at the time to upgrade my phone. T-Mobile had an issue with my paid off phone.
Two years later, I can confidently say: that switch cost me over $2,000, hours of headaches, and way too much cash flow stress.
So here’s my PSA to every digital nomad, travel creator, and online entrepreneur: if you're not using T-Mobile in 2025–2026, you're losing money.

My Global Roots + Travel Story
I was conceived in Bulgaria, born in Poland, and by age 2, I was living in the United States. You could say global movement has been in my DNA since birth.
Over the years, I've traveled to 40+ countries, hosted international retreats, launched brands on multiple continents, and shared my Creator journey with the world.
I don’t just talk about the digital nomad lifestyle — I live it full-time since 2020.
And staying connected globally has always been a non-negotiable — which is why the phone plan I choose truly matters.

What Happened with AT&T
I thought I was covered for international travel. I wasn’t.
I was told there were safeguards. There were for $12.95 a day in most countries.
I thought my bill would stay around $130/month. It ballooned to $557 in one month.
No alerts, no warnings, just charges in the first two months.
I contacted AT + T, and I filed a two BBB complaint requesting $1,675 back after being charged 2–3x my normal bill while traveling all over the world. The second compliant landed in the Presidents Office with Josh who understood and restored my faith back in AT+T caring.
I got about $700 in credits back towards having my phone paid off early and some of the international charge fees back resulting in having my phone bill paid for a month. This allowed me to switch back to T-Mobile with an unlocked phone and an additional promotional credit.
What T-Mobile Offers That AT&T Doesn’t
Free international roaming in 200+ countries
No surprise fees or bill spikes while you travel
BYOD credit (bring. your own device - I received $516) + Trade-in credit on new device
Consistent monthly billing (around $95/month including taxes
This is savings of $40 a month and $480 a year. That is not counting international charges.
Why This Matters for Digital Nomads
When you're on the move, the last thing you want is:
To have your card declined because your phone bill doubled
To spend hours on hold with customer service
To lose peace of mind while you’re trying to create, lead, and live
With T-Mobile:
I know exactly what I'm paying
I can roam freely across 200+ countries aka the world
My phone plan is finally in alignment with my lifestyle
Digital Nomad:
Sometimes we don’t realize how good we had it until we leave. That was me with T-Mobile. After two years of AT&T chaos, I’m heading home to the only carrier that actually understands global Creators.
If you're a digital nomad, it's time to switch.
Your cash flow will thank you. Your creativity will thank you. Your future self will thank you.
